Tufwell Glass provides London and southern England with specialist glass services, supplying processed glass for use in commercial and residential property development.
Glass is one of the most versatile products on the market: it can be manipulated to perform a vast array of functions both practical and aesthetic, it is strong and easy to clean, and it is recyclable at the end of its lifespan to improve its environmental impact.
Our glass processing site based in Crawley, West Sussex has the capability to temper, laminate and cut glass to fit a wide range of interior and exterior glazing applications, making Tufwell Glass the go-to glass supplier for architects, contractors and installers across the UK.
Glass Treatments
Tufwell Glass’ ability to temper and laminate stock glass in-house increases our output potential to better serve our customers with bespoke specifications to best suit their intended application.
A popular safety glass, tempered glass, also known as toughened glass, is one of the most widely used forms of glass used to meet a diverse range of functions. Tufwell Glass’ dedicated tempering facility allows us to toughen any size or shape of glass up to 2400mm x 3600mm in size and 6mm – 19mm in thickness.
Alongside our tempering facilities, Tufwell Glass can also offer glass lamination for any specification including bespoke shapes and sizes, increasing the structural integrity of our glass products as well as their versatility.
Decorative Glass for Multi-Functionality
Far beyond offering stock glass in basic shapes, Tufwell Glass has the capability to shape and cut glass to your needs, whether to aid functionality or increase visual appeal.
Our Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machine can create any custom shape from glass sheets no matter how irregular or non-standard your sizing requirements, maximising the versatility of this multifunctional material. Our facilities can also drill glass in preparation for mountings and fixtures to make installation easy and stress-free, and finish the edges of glass sheets to remove safety hazards and create a clean aesthetic.

Practical Uses for Processed Glass
Tufwell Glass can process glass for use in any number of products. Our most popular applications are internal fixtures such as glass balustrades and glass partitions for both commercial and residential use.
Glass balustrades add a much-needed safety element around staircases, walkways, balconies, and much more without impacting light transmission or visibility – especially important in busy or built-up areas to avoid collisions. Plus, their sleek, minimalist design compliments a variety of architectural styles, and the strengthening processes undertaken by Tufwell Glass minimises breakages and ensures longevity.
Similarly, glass partitions increase privacy, reduce noise and create important divisions in larger spaces with minimal visual impact. The benefits of glass partitions in office spaces are well-known, but they can also be implemented in domestic settings or public places to great effect. Think breaking up open-plan living spaces without losing the light, airy feel it brings, or zoning areas on a shop floor without decreasing visibility.
