As industry leaders in the supply and installation of glass partitions, at Tufwell Glass we’re always looking for new ways to bring more choice and the best level of service to our customers.
Having signed a contract with AGC Glass Europe to stock Pyrobel and Pyrobelite fire glass last month, we were keen to capitalise on our new resources.
So investing in a Putsch Meniconi vertical cutting machine seemed like an obvious choice.
This state-of-the-art equipment allows automatic horizontal and vertical cutting of glass much thicker than previously possible, with minimal manual handling.
Not only will this help to ensure the safety of our operators, it also means our customers can be assured that the glass they receive will be of the best quality.
The additional capabilities of the Putsch Meniconi cutting machine, combined with Tufwell’s new supply of Pyrobel fire glass products, means we will shortly be able to supply Pyrobel Vision Line; AGC’s solution for fire-resistant glass partitions.
The new equipment is currently being installed at our glass processing site in Crawley and will be operational by the end of this month.
Pyrobel Vision Line meets the architectural and design objectives that are increasingly demanded by leading architects.
The glass partition system uses Pyrobel fire glass panels separated by 4-5mm of fire-resistant silicone joint, allowing clear, unobstructed views with the ultimate in fire protection.
No intermediate framing is required for the Pyrobel Vision Line transparent wall, giving continuous views and uncompromising beauty.
Tufwell Managing Director Andy Maslin said: “By partnering with AGC Glass Europe for Pyrobel fire glass and by investing in this new machine, Tufwell Glass is making yet another significant step as an industry leader in the production and supply of glass.
“We look forward to being able to bring this advanced A-brand product to our clients.”
Pyrobel Vision Line has been tested for 30 and 60 minutes integrity and insulation (EI Insulation following EN 13501-2) in steel, aluminium and wooden frames.
